The washfastness test methods are all run using
AATCC Test Method 61
titled "Colorfastness to Laundering, Home and Commercial:
Accelerated". The purpose of this test method is to simulate
the fabric color loss and change in fabric surface after 5 home
launderings.
Whites
- Socks- 2A wash test (low temperature <120°F)
- Sheers - 1A Low temperature hand
Colors - including white with stripes
- Light, Medium, Dark colors - 2A
- Sheers - 1A
- Colored tights - 1A
The Evaluation will be for both Staining and Color Change.
Note: Based on experience or previous testing, various areas of the garment are to be tested it there are significant differences in fiber content or construction.
