SmartWool (SW) Product Developer - Socks; Chattanooga, TN:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and commercialize assigned product within margin targets while maintaining product integrity. Maintain accurate systems information to ensure on-time approval and achieve product integrity within assigned category. Constant interaction with mills to understand and address the major development and commercialization issues that arise; Work with SW sock team and mills to provide effective transition of sock designs through prototyping, commercialization and timely confirmation for production; Work closely with QA, testing, and all related partner functions to balance costing and delivery pressures with performance and quality needs; Manage cost to achieve margin goals while maintaining product integrity; reduce overall sample cost by timely interaction with merchandising and sample vendor to identify exact need.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum five years industry experience; Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required; Fluency in English required; Strong computer skills necessary; Ability to travel as required; Must be adept at handling multiple priorities and time sensitivities; Must have the ability to develop relationships within the industry and across cultures.
