Colorfastness Test Methods for Hosiery

 

The Product Categories for hosiery are:

  • Whites - solid whites only
  • Sheers
  • Colors - includes white with colored bands and are subcategorized as follows:
    1. Light
    2. Medium
    3. Dark
    4. Sheer hose
    5. Colored tights

These tests are based either on the AATCC (American Association of Chemists and Colorist)  or the ASTM (American Society of Testing Materials) test methods. The actual methods must be obtained from these two groups as they are copyrighted.
